“Work”
This was in response to a New York Magazine article I saw today : .
My definition of Work = the energy used to align with your actions and thoughts to your authentic soul journey
To align myself to what I think is my authentic self, I find it helpful to use intuitive channeling, noticing signs, applying esoteric knowledge, and then some neuroscience and physics to back it up. This is how the world makes sense to me.
Happiness to me, means “peace love and joy, living in authenticity.” It is a palpable feeling, and it feels like oneness with the universe, floating, and things appear brighter.
Spirituality and psychology are not separate, but intertwined, it’s energy, our individual and collective energies including layers of conscious thoughts, our spirit, that is manifested by how we vibrate in the world.
The higher we connect with our true selves to understand how we function and feel best, the more magnetic we become, more vibrant, and that is the “work” we have on this planet. The “stress” we feel is from misalignment. Our soul journey is to live and experience one layer to the next.
So taking intentional time and space to really think about this, is what we need. Not to mention time to remove all the energies and layers of programming from the “Matrix,” our perceived world. This will increase the “time” needed to adjust to the new life. It’s really about habits and mindset: we Can control our actions, break our habits, and form new ones.
Some ways I discovered my authentic self was through years of studying psychology in college, then giving into passions for fashion and interning in NYC with celebrities, finding my shadow sides going into the fire, getting burned, and then going to nursing school following a college sweetheart. I quit nursing after 7 years when I had a deep awakening, that I didn’t want to do any of the things I was doing. I was like a robot with little emotions left, so I quit my jobs as a personal trainer nurse and Pilates instructor, never started my wellness coaching career, and started to teach myself and other how to make chocolate. Since then my world and what I knew about it changed. I discovered the magic that came when throwing myself off a cliff over and over again, following my heart, especially when my mind said no.
My stories in the past have been to think I was wasting time, and I realize those words were programmed to me from my parents. My “failures” and “zig zag life” were words my parents used to describe my life. I love them for that because they gave me clues to my own internalized mindset, and I could change it to become my greatest self. I am always on my right path, at the right time, all the time.
We all are.
I highly recommend listening to podcasts by @tobemagnetic and I just started their Pathway Membership after months of listening to their incredibly educational and enlightening podcasts. Lacy Phillips is the founder and the one who developed this method of using neuroscience and spirituality to basically hack life, in an awesome intellectual ninja way. I also just started the free Yale University course by psychology profesor Laurie Santos, The Science of Well-Being, which has been the most popular course in Yale history and now available internationally. I am a psychology nerd and get super into these kinds of classes and research, so I highly recommend this class it’s like an 8 week self and group experiment with psychology knowledge and applications.
