Ghana Chocolates

Cacao Ghana RFA (one of the few fair trade ethical sources of cacao seeds in the US). For this project I try to let the Ghanaian seeds speak their stories of beauty and taste, an industry where the 2nd largest source of chocolate in the world is founded on paying farmers and children pennies or less. Ghana recently 2021 refused to sell to Switzerland, as it did not meet its demands for higher prices. Slowly Ghana is finding its strength in their chocolates through their own farm to bar chocolates such as @57chocolate. I am honored to create with some of these cacao seeds and have the community in DC understand the potential and value of smaller and more ethical cacao and chocolate industries.
